DECK CARE & MAINTENANCE GUIDE
Simple Upkeep Tips for Long-Lasting Decking
DECKING THAT'S BUILT TO LAST
At NyDock, we believe your dock should be about enjoying the water, not worrying about constant upkeep. Our decking options are designed to last with minimal maintenance. Each material has its own unique character, but our philosophy stays the same: keep it simple, let it age naturally, and spend your time enjoying your waterfront.
WOOD DECKING OPTIONS
Sienna Brown Pressure Treated Lumber, Premium Western Red Cedar & Pier Advantage Southern Yellow Pine
Our wood decking choices are naturally durable and designed to weather beautifully over time. Whether you choose the rustic look of pressure treated lumber, the timeless charm of cedar, or the strength of southern yellow pine, caring for your dock is simple.
NyDock Care Recommendation
Allow the wood to age naturally without stains, sealants, or coatings. Avoid chemical cleaners that could drip into the water. If a board dries out or splinters, sand it smooth or flip it over. Occasionally, a board may need replacement, but in most cases, your decking will continue to perform and look great as it weathers.

CLUBHOUSE PVC DECKING BY TRUNORTH
Clubhouse PVC Decking is the low-maintenance choice that keeps its color and finish with very little effort. It will not warp, rot, or splinter, making it an excellent long-term option.
NyDock Care Recommendation
Wash your deck with mild soap and water as often as needed, at least twice each year. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that could harm the environment. For tougher spots, gentle scrubbing with soap and water is usually enough to remove dirt and grime. No sanding, staining, or sealing is required.
OUR SIMPLE DECK CARE PHILOSOPHY
At the end of the day, your dock is for making memories, not for endless upkeep. Our wood options look better with age when left to weather naturally, while Clubhouse PVC only needs an occasional wash to stay looking new.
Keep it simple, protect your water, and enjoy more time by the lake.
