The Pymatuning Yacht Club (PYC) in Jamestown, PA, has been a cherished hub for sailing enthusiasts and families for over 80 years. With six active sailboat racing fleets, a celebrated junior sailing program, and on-site accommodations, the Club needed dock infrastructure that matched its vibrant, community-focused spirit.
Project Goal
PYC wanted a high-performance floating dock system that could integrate seamlessly into their active sailing environment, withstand harsh freeze cycles in Pennsylvania waters, deliver long-term reliability with minimal maintenance, and provide safe, stable access for members of all ages.

1. Design & Engineering (Huntsville, ON)
NyDock engineered robust floating docks using HDPE pontoons, known for exceptional durability, UV resistance, corrosion resistance, and ease of installation. These lightweight yet strong pontoons ensured structural integrity while maintaining user-friendly deck heights.
2. Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
Built at our Huntsville, Ontario facility, each dock unit underwent rigorous quality checks. Our standard includes:

Integrated freeze-in ice technology, allowing docks to settle safely beneath the ice, preventing damage during harsh winter freeze cycles.
3. Logistics & Installation
Once completed, the dock units were carefully packaged and shipped from Huntsville, ON to Jamestown, PA. Our logistics team coordinated customs and transport to ensure safe, timely delivery. On-site assembly was straightforward, thanks to precise tolerances and modular design. PYC’s crew reported smooth dock commissioning.
